About me

I qualified with 360 Supervision in 2022 and have been working as a supervisor since then with both individuals and groups of interpreters. My previous work as a team leader and senior interpreter in a deaf organisation plus interpreting since 2000 has given me a wealth of experience to bring to supervision.

I have a mixed deaf and hearing family. I am passionate about creating space in supervision to explore perspectives and responses to events that give us ‘pause for thought’. I have lived in Edinburgh since 2017, moving from the Midlands. I am also on the Board of ASLI and believe that looking after our profession (and therefore providing quality interpreting services) starts with looking after individuals: ourselves.

I have regular supervision for my own practice and wish that this had existed when I started work all those years ago! Thanks to supervision, I have been able to put ghosts to rest and become a stronger, healthier interpreter able to enjoy my work more fully. I believe supervision is probably the missing piece of the puzzle for many of us.
